Have you ever felt alone? Like nobody knows how you feel? Has there ever been a time when you just needed a friend? Have you ever needed someone to talk to?
Because Christ lives you will always have a friend. You will always have someone who knows how you feel and what you are going through. He is waiting for you to invite Him into your life.
There are many times throughout the scripture where He refers to us as His friends. One of my personal favorites is Doctrine and Covenants 88:62-63:
62 And again, verily I say unto you, my friends, I leave these sayings with you to ponder in your hearts, with this commandment which I give unto you, that ye shall call upon me while I am near-
63 Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Jesus is waiting for you, with open arms, to come unto Him.
The song “Come Unto Christ” really helps me feel His love.
He’s the one who healed the leper and who brought the dead to life. He’s the one who fed the hungry. And who gave the blind their sight. He’s the one who walked on water then he brought them safe to shore. And whenever you may need him, he’s the one you’re looking for. So let him in, and he will take away your pain. When you feel his love, you’ll never be the same
Come unto Christ~ Come unto him~And by his grace, be made holy again. He’s calling your name~ He’s waiting for you~ with arms open wide~ Come unto Christ~
He’s the one who taught forgiveness and he showed a better way. He’s the one who helps the hopeless and those who gone astray. He’s the savior and redeemer. The bread of life the prince of peace. If you’re hungry, lost or captive, he’s the one to set you free. So let him in~ And you’ll remember who you are. He will mold your life and change your willing heart.
Come unto Christ~ Come unto him~And by His grace, be made holy again. He’s calling your name~ He’s waiting for you~ with arms open wide~ Come unto Christ~
Christ loves you more than you can even imagine. He’s calling your name. He’s waiting for you. I know that when you invite Christ into your life, He will ease your burdens and your joy shall be great.
