Be Still, My Soul

By: Ambree

Have you ever had a breaking point in your life? A point where you feel like your life is a complete mess, where problems seem to be coming at you head on, and you’re on the verge of giving up and shutting down? Whether you’ve already hit that breaking point in the past, are at that point right now, or will be facing it in the near future – there is HOPE! No matter how overwhelmed, pained, and defeated you may feel there is HOPE through the stresses of this life. This HOPE is found only in the one person who understands.  He’s felt beyond that breaking point, has been to the very bottom of it all, and is the only ONE who has the power to heal our broken hearts.  That One source of HOPE is Jesus Christ! He is our HOPE that life will be better.  He will travel the storms of life with you and pick you up so that you never have to be alone, scared, or too weak. Jesus Christ can put your broken heart back together.  If you put your trust in him, He will help you find joy and meaning again. I know this for myself, because every time I’ve felt the weight of life upon my shoulders, I have gotten down on my knees with a broken heart and pled with my Heavenly Father to give me guidance. He never lets me down!

Isn’t it comforting to know you can always have someone by your side? Have faith, keep His commandments, and pray to Him – He will help you! I love our Heavenly Father for sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us all!

  1. 1. Be still, my soul: The Lord is on thy side;
    With patience bear thy cross of grief or pain.
    Leave to thy God to order and provide;
    In ev’ry change he faithful will remain.
    Be still, my soul: Thy best, thy heav’nly Friend
    Thru thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
  2. 2. Be still, my soul: Thy God doth undertake
    To guide the future as he has the past.
    Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
    All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
    Be still, my soul: The waves and winds still know
    His voice who ruled them while he dwelt below.
  3. 3. Be still, my soul: The hour is hast’ning on
    When we shall be forever with the Lord,
    When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
    Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.
    Be still, my soul: When change and tears are past,
    All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

    What an amazing post! Even though sometimes is hard to get closer to the Savior, and perhaps, we don’t want anybody to help us, He’s there and is willing to stay and heal our broken hearts. Thanks again!
